....move the tourn.? OK, lets see, NC is about 400 miles from east to west, so Raleigh fits the mold. Also Raleigh is a big city with excellent fields and the park folks backing them.
Cary is right next door, and has mecca facilities, trust me on this one folks.
Burlington seems to be a cool place to move this HS gig. UNCG also rocks with facilities.
Like this or not folks, the HS state tourn. ain't coming to Charlotte anymore than it being played at UNCW.
    Logistics don't work.
Maybe its time for softball to slide into the same gig as baseball, i.e., 4A plays at UNC, 3A plays at NCSU, 2A plays at UNCG, ETC. (pure examples).
What do ya'll think about splitting up the tourn.?
    Is that good or bad?
I personally like all the teams in one place.

I also like the idea of having them all together at one place, but it would be nice to spread the "weath" around, reduce the drive for some in some years, and make communities compete a little for the tourneys... Knowing that you will always get the toruney year after year makes you a little lax in how you run it.

BTW, other hs sports hold their final events at different facilities but not all on the same weekend allowing you to see them if you wanted to.. (ie, 4A at NCSU, 3A at UNC, etc... and they rotate.)

I guess the real question is, has there been a decision on tonights games?

    Split it up

1A 2A in Gboro and 3A 4A in Raleigh then switch the next yr. HS BB is in different cities this yr. I'll bet money that UNC would love to have the 4a NC State the 3a UNCG the 2a and Appt st the 1a. That is $$$ coming into the school pockets from fans..... then move it around from yr to yr.....Include ECU and UNCW UNCP UNCC. These are state schools and our tax money does go to these schools.
