    Junior Danielle Spaulding tied a season high with 14 strikeouts Sunday afternoon in the finale of the Carolina Classic as she led the No. 23 Tar Heels past Penn State by a 2-0 margin. Sophomore catcher Brittany McKinney drove in the winning run with a solo home run in the top of the second as the Tar Heels ran their winning streak to seven and claimed the Carolina Classic tournament title. The Tar Heels will not have much time to rest as they return to action on Thursday at the Cathedral City Classic in Palm Springs, Calif.

    Congrats!!!!

    ....to the Heels, (oh that hurts, lol) and I'd like to mention that Sam Murad rocked with the bat.
    Also, even though we all know that softball is a team game, I did see, that C. Orr was named all-tournament.

    Heard Ally caught C in the George washington game after a couple innings. Had a line shot that outfielder made a good play on to get her out.
