What is your opinion about practicing/playing TB during the HS season? Does your HS team have rules set for this?

Most high school coaches frown upon any other play during the season because of possible injury...some play anyway !!!......:ack2:

i think it depends upon the situation. if you have a team that is gonna contend for the conference title, then it probably wouldnt be allowed - possible injury. but in my situation, young team, possibly .500 record, i would allow it to let my players get more training and face better pitching.

Possible injury? In the case of pitchers it would be probable injury. Pitchers need a routine of light and heavy workouts in the bull pen balanced with game appearances, along with rest days. That's impossible if HS ball is played all week and TB is played all weekend. School programs should prohibit participation in both at the same time.

    BALANCE......

the key with pitching(not to mention everything else in softball) but its always a good policy to do as HS HC decides!
