TBR Charity Event--(Saturday 8/23)

    Home Run Derby????

    I posted this in R&R and we're definitely gonna do it...

    Let's put on a Home Run Derby to raise money for Christian. We can get friends, family members, co-workers to sponsor like a buck a home run and raise lots of money. I have a PA system so we can play music and have guys announce (and make fun of us). Maybe we can get local companies to sponsor the event (Century 21 sponsored tonite's Home Run Derby at the All Star Game). We can also sell hot dogs, bratwurst, drinks, etc at the event...

    Anyone game?

    Forgot to keep this thread updated - have been posting it in R&R. Anyway, we're doing the Home Run Derby this Saturday at 2:00pm at Waddell High School softball field. $20 per participant which will include a tshirt. If you're interested in participating, please try to get friends/family members/co workers, etc., to sponsor you by pledging any desired amount for each home run you hit.

    For example, if Chiefs pledges $1 for each home run Braves hits...and Braves somehow manages to crank 2 out, Chiefs would donate $2. I've had some people pledge $1 per home run with a maximum of $50. Also, East Blvd. Bar and Grill is hosting an after derby party for us where we'll award prizes. They're donating a percentage of our tab to the family. If you're interested, please let me know and I hope to see you there!
