    I don't know Ben but from the look of this thread, we've got a good pitcher and person on the way to Asheville. I'm looking forward to having him on the team.

    or better teammate...the support he gives all his teammates is one area that is overlooked. UNC-A is very fortunate to have a young man with his character to be attending. You will absoluuuuuutely love him.

    I had to bring this topic back up. I had never met Ben until this weekend at East Cobb. He was helping with the Panthers 15U. Sometimes you read about people but just see the words. I had the opportunity to talk with him while uniforms were in the washer/dryer. Truly a class guy all the way. Very mature for his age and had things well in perspective. I wish him the best at UNC-A and he deserves it.

    All of these kind words are well deserved for this outstanding young man. He is not only a superb competitior but also an avid student of the game and a great role model for these younger players.
