Ryan completed his last weekend series at Greenwood Field and threw 5 innings giving up 5 hits and 1er 1bb and 3k's. They are the #6 seed in the BigSouth tournament.

    Tyler Tewell

After enduring two years of marginal playing time, you kept yourself healthy and turned in an exceptional junior season. Your hard work, determination and ability to play more than one position have allowed you to start every game for the Socon Champion Mountaineers. From throwing out game tying runs in the 9th inning to driving in game winning runs, you have represented well all those coaches who had a part in your development throughout the years. Second highest batting average (.376) in the Socon, top 10 in numerous offensive categories, and Socon POW honors; you should be proud of your efforts this season. Your mom, dad, and (big) little brother definitely are!

Outside of his family, there is no one that can be more proud of Tyler than me. Another testiment to hard work, perseverance and belief in oneself; Qualities Tyler has in abundance.

Congratulations to Tyler on a wonderful season, and thanks for a very eloquently worded tribute. The entire Tewell family has great reason to be proud!

For all of those who have ever doubted a player at one time or another- this is a true testament to hard work and perserverance. I had the pleasure of watching Preston pitch in showcase and high school and he doesn't throw 92 - he doesn't need to. He knows how to "pitch". He truly knows how to manage a game. Fun to watch and as calm as can be on the mound. Keep throwing strikes Preston, the sky is the limit. We are all pulling for you here in Union County.
