    Jacob Hoyle finished his freshman season with WCU by being selected by the SoCon head coaches to the SoCon All Conference Second Team and the All Freshman Team. He was selected by Baseball News to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team, all while playing through a pulled oblique.
