The first thing you notice about Drew is his "passion for the game". If there is anyone more competitive than Drew, I'd like to meet him. This kid wants to win at everything, including ping pong. Which is one of the reasons his school team won the State Championship...he will not lose...can't stand it.

Okay...let's look at his accomplishments. All Conference his freshman and sophomore year. Played in Junior State Games..and has been invited to play for any team he chooses. But this is what makes him so special. Despite all of Drew's accomplishments, he is the most humble player I have ever met.
It would be okay if the kid was a little cocky...but that's not his nature. He doesn't concern himself with his accomplishments...he only wants to win....and that my TBR friends is what makes him "special".

    Drew Martin----- A Winner :applause:

Oh...and what do you think he would do if his mother was covering HP in a charity softball game while Drew was trying to score :D

Answer---brush her off, make sure she was alright and give her a big :kisser:

I was lucky enough to see Drew make one of the best defensive plays of the State Games. While playing SS, he was covering the bag on an attempted stolen base. The catcher's throw was about 4' to the 1st base side of the bag. Drew crossed the bag, caught the ball and made the tag all in one motion. All while the runner slid under him, cutting him a flip in the air. He came down hard but held onto the ball. A big league play for a great young player.
