TBR Road Trip, Saturday Apr 5th: TC Roberson vs West Henderson

    Hey MUDCAT !!!!!!!!!

    We need details (including Directions for finding the field) for the Road Trip next weekend to see TC Roberson take on West Henderson.

    Game time would be nice to know also.... Give us an estimated driving time from different areas (i.e. Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Raliegh). We are going to try and make you guys a little extra money this coming weekend!!!!!!!!!

    From Charlotte:
    I-85 west to US 74. Take 74 all the way to West I-26 toards Hendersonville/Asheville. Take exit 18 and go into Hendersonville. Take US 25 north, turn left on NC 191. Go 5 miles to Westh Henderson HS on the right.

    From Winston-Salem take I-40 west, when you get to Asheville take I-26 east and follow the directions above.

    This is a JV/Varsity doubleheader with the JV's starting at 4. Varsity shourld start around 6:30. Mudcat will be in the pressbox at his usual station operating the scoreboard.

    ncbballfan you need to come to western nc on friday and catch the Tuscola vs TC Roberson at 4:00 at TC. this should be a good game unless Tuscola's Blake Murphy gos off like he did against Enka with a 4 for 4 performance with 3 bombs and 6 rbi's final score 12 to 1 in 6 innings. this would allow you to catch to best teams in the west play thats Tuscola on Friday and West Henderson on Saturday.

    I would love to catch that game ... but my young'en is pitching that day too. We've been choosing saturday Road Games because they don't interfere with the schedule of our HS teams. Most all of us have guys that are playing.

    The "Men in Black" are awesome this season and TC is DANGEROUS. What a great game.

    West will be favored due to TC will have to use their best pitching to try and hold Tuscola down. TC is young and inexperienced this year but will probaly return next year as one of the favorites.

    Hey thsbb

    I've heard the staff over at TC described as good and deep, but pretty much all "book-ends". They all throw about the same speed and the same pitches.

    Is this a fair evaluation? Who's pitching for them?

    We also know that Tuscola has 3 of the top players in the state. How is Eryk McConnell doing on the bump this year? How about Reinhold and Murhpy?

    TC's staff is young their best man on the mound is a freshman the rest of the staff is consistant but they have no over powering pitchers. their hitting has fell off alot after loosing 6 seniors. Tuscola has 6 seniors who are all batting above 400 and we have had a bomb in every game but 1. Their has been only 5 earned runs score on tuscola's staff. murphy had 3 bombs against enka on friday his first of the year he's finally getting his timing down. reinhold has 3 bombs on the year and has been hitting ropes all year. A sophmore name munoz is leading the team in hrs with 5. lowe hit a bomb against a good franklin team that we beat.

    THSBB - West Henderson has 2 conference games this week also going into the TC game. Hmmmmmm, wonder who we'll throw?:scared2:


    PS: They don't let Mudcat talk. Just get to punch the buttons for the scoreboard.
