Robert Woodard gets the ball tomorrow for the Tar Heels against Seton Hall. The TBR bus will pull out of Charlotte at 8:30.

Should be a good trip ... wish I could go.

I couldn't even make the local action this weekend.... way too much work.

The bus is pulling out with just one passenger, and he's fully expecting a rain out on the other end of the trip. But what the heck...

It was a great trip -- no rain in Chapel Hill, Woodard was great, Hovis and Danford were excellent in relief, with Hovis picking up the win,and the TBR bus didn't break down. The Tar Heel pitching staff has now gone 36 innings without giving up an earned run. The two unearned runs in the sixth were without a ball getting out of the infield. Robert's line -- 5 1/3 innings, 2 unearned runs, 2 hits, 3 walks (one intentional) seven strike-outs.

Got to see freshmen Chad Flack, Benji Johnson and Seth Williams all start, and Reid Fronk and Josh Horton come in late -- what a freshman class!

The Tar Heels are going to have to figure out how to it lefthanders, though, they struggled against Seton Hall's starter Dan Merklinger, who pitched 5 scorless innings giving up just 2 hits.

Man, I wish I could have gone to see Up and In this week... He's a great kid.

But, I hate to say it, I'm still working this evening and it's getting late. You'd think I did taxes or something the way my springs have been going lately. Right now, I may miss about 4 weeks of the HS season to work-related travel and that's a bummer.

Robert ... We are proud of you guy !!!!!!!! Great, GREAT job.
