West Meck stands atop the QC 3A/4A with an 8-4 (4-0) record and they play at home against Berry tonight.

Good news for West Meck but I don't think they would have that record if they were in the SW4A division! But congrats!

With one game left on the first go-round through the league, 5 teams are currently tied for 1st with 4-2 records (Clinton, Richlands, E.Duplin, South Lenoir, SW Onslow) with Croatan right behind at 3-3.

The 4 Onslow County teams take the upcoming week away from the conference to compete in a spring break tourney, as the others continue on the conference slate. The next week the OC teams will catch up while the others do the spring break thing.

Pretty tight so far, but as teams get hot, or fade, the separation between contenders and pretenders will surely become more pronounced. We'll see.

It's nice to get shot down a little bit, thanks.

I know that, but it's nice to see good ballplayers get some wins. They have a lot of talent on the field with Troy Lanham, Brandon Reeves, Stephen Mullis, Ian Sidebottom, Jeremy Gray, B.J. Bowen, and Nate Cyr. They have good coaching to go along with good senior leadership from 2 that have been on the varsity team since they were freshman.

They're now 10-4 (6-0) after beating Catholic yesterday.
