Team USA wins 2 in Spanish debut

    Team USA opened up the Spanish Challenge series in style, banging out 12 hits while showing strong pitching as they beat Hercules 10-0 in the first game of the series.

    Jenny Sorensen, Richmond Va/Methodist College spun a shutout, giving up 4 hits while striking out 6 in the 5 inning game.

    Jaimee Cassidy and Jody McClure, Pfeiffer teammates, led the way offensively going 2-2 and 2-3 respectively. McClure had 5 rbi´s on the night. Nicole Shoemaker Denver NC / Peace College was also 2-2.

    Hercules stiffened in the second game, but Team USA took advantage of 2 errors and won a 2-1 nail biter. Libby Fulford from NC Wesleyan and Haley Suitt gave up 2 hits over the game with 4 k´s. Sorensen came on late for the save.

    Team USA was lead by Sarah Heenan of Peace College ( 3-3,) Jaimee Casssidy, 1-3 HR, Mallory Meyer of Widener, 2-2 and Kylie Childress of Lambuth 2-2 1 rbi provided the offense.

    Weds is an off day, and we will resume Thursday night in game 3 vs Hercules.

    Team USA Wins Again

    Got a message " Early this morning - Team USA WON 13 - 3! Didn't get details! I' sure when Charlie get's up he will post detail.
    Both team's, Spain and Team USA, had a cook out after game and took lots and lots of picture.

    Now there off to France !!! Two games Saturday night and Two games Sunday night!


    GO TEAM USA, WE'LL PULLING YA!!!
