tech announcement for 2008 rocket tech fp bat

    if the paint is peeling/chipping off of your 2008 red rocket tech fast pitch bat, it means that you purchased one of the first 500 bats and you have the option to send this bat back for a no charge replacement. doesnt matter what shape the bat is in, just call 1-888-777-HITS and ask for the warrantee department for instructions on returning bat.....typically 10 day turnaround.

    Breakin period

    Kind of off topic for this thread cheeze but do most dealers/retailers/sellers (whatever you call them) know about the breakin periods for the bats and tell their customers? This was news to me that I found out from this board (another reason why This Board Rocks!). I have been telling our girls and parents about this as recently as yesterday when one of our girls got a brand new Rocket Tech bat and none of them knew anything about it.

    most of us are trained by the companies we rep through tech notices and general literature. some read it, some dont. i've been with this company so long, i know everyone by name, including the engineers and know whats good, whats bad, what works, what didnt work. breakin periods pertain to all bats, some are quite small, some take 200-300 hits...rocket techs do have a breakin period, somewhere around 50-100 hits. you can tell its breaking in when you can feel the slight ridges that develop on the outer shell. this is normal and it will stop when its completely broken in. thats why we advise all of our customers to continually rotate the bat i your hands at every at bat to try and not hit the ball in the same place every time. i believe this makes good common sense. i'm interested to see how the new 2009 techzilla fp reacts to breakin as the outer shell is now on the inside of the bat. ours havent shown any sign of ridging yet....time will tell

    The -10 has good pop. I've seen those ridges or dimples on the old bats, and I'm curious to see how reversing the shell will effect the outer portion of the bat
