Any where in Florida or Hawaii would be great!

What do you guys think about a College Football Playoff Bracket?!? If you took the top 16 from the BCS polls here's what the bracket would look like:

    #1 Auburn (13-0)
    #16 Alabama (9-3)

    #8 Arkansas (10-2)
    #9 Michigan St. (12-1)

    #5 Wiconsin (11-1)
    #12 Missouri (10-2)

    #4 Stanford (11-1)
    #13 Virginia Tech (10-2)

    #3 TCU (12-0)
    #14 Oklahoma St. (10-2)

    #6 Ohio State (11-1)
    #11 LSU (10-2)

    #7 Oklahoma (11-2)
    #10 Boise St. (11-1)

    #2 Oregon (12-0)
    #15 Nevada (12-1)

A lot of interesting match-ups and would make a lot of money for TV. I think if they narrowed down the season to 10 games and a conference championship and then played this playoff system it would be good. Just my opinion though. I know a lot of people will disagree because of the Bowls and making money for the schools and all, but still how could you go wrong with the #1 vs. #16 being the battle of Alabama???

I'm all for it! They can still have bowls for the other teams, so I don't see why the schools would complain.

I remember when all schedules were at 10 games and when they expanded to 11 the schools complained about "players getting hurt; too much time away from class work....." Since the conferences smelled the money those concerns have gone away.

I doubt the schools would go for more than 3 additional games (and that's if they reduced the schedule to 10 games), so the brackets would have to be the Final 8.

I'd be happy with a 4 team playoff right now and then move to a 8 team later on. I realize that even a 4 team playoff wouldn't solve everything either. You would still have arguments about you gets in. This year, for instance, Stanford would slip in as the #4 team with 1 loss. Other teams with 1 loss would complain, but on the flip side, TCU, a third undefeated team, would not be left out. Regardless, I believe a playoff is coming one day. The TV money would be huge, and money is what drives the NCAA, and most conferences. They've announced that they are studying the possibility of a playoff, which means its coming eventually.

Braves...16 team would be 4 additional and would be exactly the same as we have here in NC 11 possible games and then 4 games to find a state champion...15 total for the 2 teams that get to the championship

I like it, college football is the only sport with a "paper" champion. Decide it on the field!

An 8 or 16 team playoff would definately create more interest in the ACC and Big East territories. Let's face it, the ACC (Va. Tech #13) isn't coming close to a playoff berth this year unless there's 16 teams, and the Big East (West Virginia #22) wouldn't even sniff that.

Unless they took the champion from the major conferences.

Yep. Take all the BCS conference champions, and then the next 10 highest ranked, and seed them.
