    The game is played between the players on the opposing teams. The umpire is there to determine fair and foul, strike and ball, safe and out, etc.

    Why would anyone want less than the correct call from an umpire? I don't want an umpire's opinion, I want the correct call according to the rules.

    Let the players ability to play the game determine who wins, not the judgement of a third party.

    Spoken like a pitcher's dad.....nah....I was just needling you a little bit Dodger...a "great" catcher can do that...and I've seen one:)
