    One more for the mix......

Probably a guy noone here has heard of, but I am tellling you, if you like submarine, this kid is gonna make one heck of a setup guy, closer.

Kendrick McDonald- 08 RHP, Hiwassee Dam 80-83, with sick movement and nasty slider from down under. 6'3 or 6'4, long and lean.......

Quick story, this kid pitches for us in a fall league, he was facing a lefty the other day in the game and threw him an inside slider, young man swung at the pitch and missed it and the ball said "thud" not when it hit the catcher's mitt, but rather when it hit the batter in a protected area. That's good, late movement.

    Ask EBDean about him.........

    Patton High School

Not saying that these guys are in Messer's orbit but

    Eli Lawson
    Aaron Attaway
    Dykota Spiess
    Trevor Talent
    Steven Dyson (sr. lefty)

4 of the 5 are Sophomores. Lawson has 3 pitches; hard, harder and hardest. Tallent (who was out last season with a broken foot) throws gas. Spiess can also throw hard and has a nice breaking ball. Attaway lives in the mid 80's. Dyson is a streaky lefthander.
Add in Sr. David Carswell, a solid pitcher who sat out at Freedom last season and Ryan Hasson another hard throwing pitcher with good experience and the Panther's stable is full.
Another soph phenom Chris Fine behind the dish and is just as able playing centerfield. Patton should compete in the CVAC come Spring.

    {Probably more than you wanted to know}

    Jake Manzulich

Big LHP from Orange HS. I mentioned him earlier but wanted to say a couple fo things about him. I think he is an 09. He is a big kid and really understands how to pitch. He has a very good cu and a sweeping hook that he can locate. He pitched a gem against us last year even though he took a hard luck loss on a couple of errors. I like this kid alot. He flat out competes on the hill.

Tons of upside in this kid Jake Dailey Cedar Ridge HS. 6'6" good body and can run it up there in the mid to upper 80's. Pretty good off speed stuff to go with that downhill heater. He will be a force for Cedar Ridge again this year.

Tyler Deloach LHP Roanoke Rapids. At 6'5" and LH thats a pretty good start for an 09. Good velocity and nice off speed stuff. Tons of upside make this kid a very interesting kid to follow this upcoming season.

Nice to see someone with credibility mention David Coffey at Ragsdale. I also feel he deserves mention but I get tired of someone telling me I'm touting a local kid. Happy for David but it also makes me happy from a selfish viewpoint. My son and David are teammates.
