How about another: The pitcher is not real adept at hiding the ball in his glove and the 3rd base coach can tell if he is going to throw a fastball or curveball. Shoud he relay that to his hitter?

What about left-handed pitcher's taking advantage of a two-man crew with a runner on first with the 45-degree rule on throws to first? It's something umps look for, but its very hard to see in the positions they are in, and lefties are taught to take as much as they can get with that. Is that unethical as well? I really don't have an opinion on the subject, by the way...

AlBundy .... It's not a balk unless the umpire thinks it's a balk. I know it gives some lefties an unfair advantage, but, that's life.

Mudcat .... What happens on the field is fair game. If the pitcher hasn't learned the fundamentals, that's poor coaching and you shouldn't expect a team to penalize themselves for the other coaches oversight.

Use every piece of information that can be fairly obtained. Determining the grip the pitcher has on the ball is fair game. At the HS level, a lot of pitchers telegraph this information anyway by changing arm slots on particular pitches.
