Thoughts

As we go into the winter months, I hope we all will reflect on all the truly rewarding experiences we have dealing with fastpitch softball and the wonderful young ladies, parents, coaches, umpires, and directors. Let's all vow to be a little more tolerate, a little more caring, a little more helpful, a little less selfish, a little less self-centered, a little more honest, and to not tear down people and their organization because they are not what we want. Thanks to all the members of the Lady Blues organization both past and present for all the support and hard work U have provided. Special thanks to my original team of five years ago that believed in me enough to risk leaving a comfort zone! U guys were really special, we acheived much more than anyone expected. Hey Blues girls playing college ball! Wow U have made me look like I knew what I was doing, thanks for covering for me, Ha Ha! Thanks to all the great coaches that run the Blues teams, all of U have experienced great success!
Now let's get back to the purpose of this post, softball is a great way to meet new friends, made a difference in your life and others, and send a clear message to our young people! A message that grown-ups are fair, they are honest, they handle adversity with dignity, and they support us to the end regardless of the outcome. Remember, someone is always watching. Very well said :applause: this being our 1st year in tournament ball with the Lady Blues 14U we had great times and one or two not so great times, but all in all it has been a wonderful experience for us and our daughter #47 thanks to kind, caring coaches and parents. We look forward to getting back out there with the 16u team making more memories and friends along the way! We as parents, should never forget that these coaches are not doing it for themselves they are doing it for OUR daughters. It is a very tireless and thankless job that not too many people want to take on. Thanks to ALL the coaches out there. #47's mom :xyzthumbs :applause:

Its not thankless and tireless, In reality its exciting, fulfilling, and the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Its hard work for sure, but when time and time again I have a young lady that I have coached go out of her way to stop and say hi or chat for a while it becomes clear that I get way more out of this deal then I put in.

Cost to be a fastpitch coach........... thousands​

Hours spent on a softball field......... tens of thousands​

The "hi coach" away from the field.....PRICELESS​

I would not trade that time for the world.

:applause: Hey all you coaches out there,from 8u -18u,high school, & college,we as parents would like to say that you guys are the GREATEST!!!!Coaching in this sport is very demanding,& time consuming,with a tremendous amount of dedication.I can personally attest that my oldest DD has learned lessons about life as well as teamwork,besides the game of softball.So know this coaches,you are very much appreciated!!!!!MY HAT'S OFF TO YA!!!I would like to call out my DD's coach,Charlie Blackwelder of the Carolina Cobras 14u.He cares for each of those girls personally,& coaches with the intensity of such that it takes him a few hours to wind down each night.The Cobra girls love playing for him, & will do whatever he ask,they have so much respect for him.He has a golden opport. on a position to help coach,& I say GO FOR IT!Thanks again coaches you're all great guys!!!!!!!!!!
