    Caldwell County

We all know I'm not one to pat Caldwell County on the back for anything, but I thought this needed to be posted. From what I read, they went 3-0 in the Easley Invitational in Easley, SC over the weekend. The impressive part is that in those 3 games, Caldwell pitchers gave up a whopping total of 2 hits!! It appears the games in the tournament were 7 innings rather than 9, but this is still extremely impressive!

    Game 1 - vs Greeneville (S.C.) Final score 2-1. Bryan Tuttle throws a 1-hitter
    Game 2 - vs Greenwood (S.C.) Final score 4-2. 7 Caldwell pitchers combined for a 1-hitter

Game 3 - vs Easley (S.C.) Final Score 14-0 (5 innings) Cody Poarch pitched a no hitter.

Behind 7 solid innings by DJ Thomas, Durham moves to 2-0 on the young season. Brendan Welsh and Jeff Cleary both had 2 run homeruns, while Reitano, Schilke, and Elliker added 2 hits each.

Next game is tonight, DH vs. Rocky Mount starting at 6pm at the old DAP
