Although it's still a relatively new process, I'd say the majority will make it to campus...and the majority will play. Most of these kids are the "cream of the crop" and all our good academic students. Some may go the way of the draft, but I suspect it will be rare.

It only took one school to aggressively go after the younger players, before it forced the others to join in. Nobody wants to take the chance of losing a major recruit because another school aggressively pursued him early.

I have obvious concerns about committing early, but it is a family decision and the relief of getting the process behind you can't be underestimated.

From my neck of the woods, all the guys who committed early ended up making it to the school, or going pro.

    Brian Goodwin-UNC
    Hobbs Johnson-UNC
    Tyler Joyner-ECU
    Grant Sasser-NC State
    Garrett Davis-UNC
    John Wooten-ECU
    Walker Gourley-minor league
    Connor Narron-minor league

    All good players!

    Very good comments here...

I have read some very good comments here. Ont thing I think that everybody needs to think about is not necessarily when to commit, but rather making the right commitment. I am afraid that some players and parents are in such a hurry to commit early that sometimes they don't make the best decision. To me it is more important to commit to a program that not only has the degree desired but also is a place where the player will get the best opportunity.

I urge all involved to carefully think about that when making a decision.
