    Insist on an MRI

INSIST on having an MRI done!!! The insurance companies will probably scream and the doctors usually give in to their screams but the MRI will give you the most accurate information. I've heard story after story about trying everything and not having an MRI done until after the kid has gone through more pain and suffering than was necessary. My DD partially tore her ACL during bb season, went through numerous therapy sessions, wore a couple different braces and finally tore her ACL enough to eliminate all doubt. An MRI would have shown all the damage if it had been allowed initially. She had her ACL rebuilt with a hamstring instead of a patellar tendon with the hope that she would recover in time for the next season. After much hard rehab she recovered and won conference MVP that year. And school MVP second year in a row.

INSIST on the MRI; eliminate the guesswork. I won't mention the first orthopedic but the one we are pleased with is Raleigh Orthopedic and Dr. David Boone.

    Yes...

Daughter is still recovering...I listened but did not want to make any hasty decisions and let her play through hoops. Finally went april 15th or so when she could not even push off the back leg to swing...surgery on the 17th to start the long road...3 months min.

It is costing her the first 3 tourney's for travel ball. Dr. D'llasandro in Charlotte is the best of the best. He worked with the Panthers for 7 years and is being very cautious with her. We were blessed to get him...

Don't mess with the knees...she has to chase those little kiddies around one day and you don't want to have arthritis at 25!!
