    He's double checking to make sure everything is packed for his first HS game tomorrow. The next 4 years are going to be fun. He just reminded me I will have to tie his tie for him in the morning (coach makes them dress up on game day).

    Today my son started his second varsity game as a freshman shortstop and led off the game with his first high school homerun....proud moment for me!

    My oldest son started on the hill for Lake Norman HS and had 9 stirkeouts in 3 2/3 innings on Friday.

    My younger son hit his first homerun in his middle school game on Tuesday.

    Got to see both games. This is what we dads live for.

    Yep.....I'm proud too.

    My son is a junior and first year varsity player at Raleigh Sanderson. He is not a starter at this time, but I couldn't be prouder of him as he has worked hard to earn his spot in the program after getting cut as a freshman. He has a tremendous amount of love and respect for the game. Last night in his first plate appearance of the young season he came through with his first base hit. It definitely put a smile on this dad's face as I knew how much it meant to him. Good things will come to those who put in the work.
