    The best high school player in the state can't slip to Page 2.

    Round two of the playoffs was just another day at the office for Toney.

    388 yards on 40 carries with 4 TDs. His first three carries of the second half stats - 3 carries, 137 yards, 2 TDs ( 65, 63). He also had a 32 yard screen pass at the end of the first half setting up a game tying field goal. Ragsdale won 31-24.

    He now has 3,193 yards on the season. Averaging 266 yards a game. He has a good chance to set the single season rushing record tonight if he hits his average as Ragsdale goes up against top seeded Eastern Randolph who is also a big rival. Toney had 3 TDs and 270 yards last month in a 21-20 loss to Eastern.

    Gonna be a good game...

    single game record was set this year by somebody 460 something yards.

    Baker had 209 tonight - I'll post the News & Record stats in the morning

    I thought that 209 sounded high

    stats in the paper had him with 187 yards on 30 carries

    That gives him 3,380 in 13 games on the season - good for second place on the single season rushing mark, just 76 yards shy of the record.

    Had hoped we would see you guys in Chapel Hill Wossa. Baker deserves to have this at the top for a little while.

    Supposedly Baker is eyeing UVA....anyone have any clue as to where he may go?

    Virginia has offered him but supposedly his favoriites include UNC, State, Va Tech and Tennessee.

    His recruiting will increase ten-fold next spring when he starts hitting the tops of all the recruiting lists. Not many out there rank the junior class. I'm sure he will get alot more offers but I would be surprised if he signs outside the ACC.

    I don't know what he did at ECU

    He played a few years for the Browns when Sipe was the QB.

    Remember Elways 98 yard drive that beat the Brown's? Baker played on that team - mostly just a reserve RB and kick returner.

    Toney Jr. has all the tools to be a superstar in college and the NFL
