yup. He quite possibly likes UNC the best, but unless they can prove they can win a little this year, they stand no chance with him. The only reason I say he may like UNC the best is because they're still actually listed.

I agree with all of the accolades this kid is getting. However, I call BS on the 425lb bench.

well you're good buddies with Coach Norwood right?

Give him a call and get the down low from him.

25 carries - 240 yards two touchdowns - the last was a 56 yarder with two minutes left - I loved to watch it but I was hoping they would burn off the clock. Left Western with just enough time to drive and score.

Baker also caught a pass for 23 yards and threw a pass on a 2 point conversion. It was a great game - just sucked to lose at the end like that.

What are his current season stats?

Cary's runningback, Josh Adams (a junior) has 1132yards and 16TDs after 4 games.

Hopefully NCSU will land Baker in 2005 and Adams in 2006.

If Baker goes to college based on where he can start, I highly doubt NCSU will be it, but who knows... next year, NCSU would have T.A. (Senior, if doesn't go to NFL after this season), Darrell Blackman (SOPH), Bobby Washington (SOPH), and Reggie Davis (JR).

Got a gut feeling it will come down to NCSU and UVA.

After 3 games Baker has 723 yards and 8 TDs. He will most likely put up huge numbers the next 3 games going against the weakest teams in the conference.

Hey, Wossa. Looks like you're enjoying your season so far. I have been reading about what you have to say about Toney Baker. It makes me think about the time Nick Maddox played for Kannapolis. There is just something about those special players that puts electricity in the air. I rememer how much fun it was watching Nick. You expected him to go all the way every time he touched the ball. I know you and the Ragsdale fans feel the same way about Toney. These special players come along once in a lifetime in most cases. I just want to remind you and the fans up there to enjoy every minute. I don't care how much you still love your team after their gone, the rare excitement that they brought to the game, will always be missed!

oh yeah K63 - everyone is soaking it all in. People know they will never see another player like this come through school. Baker is now having to sign autographs for the kids and they all want to be #22 on the youth league/middle school teams.

And he did it again last night.

374 yards on 22 carries and 5 touchdowns.. He's up to 1,100 yards after 4 games.
