The parents themselves should've stood up. If the coach wants this thing to go away he should admit this was a mistake. Defending this is just wrong. Had someone been hurt there would be much more of an outcry than a message board. Also coach would have an empty wallet for a long time.

    For sure fishman!

I'll second that but am not touching the reason for this thread. I have strong opinions on this but am trying to be a good TBRer (is that a word?).

    I agree......

I don't understand the slander..... I had no clue what team this was until they identified themselves....

If anything, all of us will be more aware of these types of issues in the future.
I think enough has been said....and thankfully the kids all seem to be fine.
Let's all of us learn from this, and move on....
Further discussion is just upsetting the girls......

Lesson learned.... let's move to something else...

I agree with Homer that this was pushing the limits of common sense. There is a huge difference in playing in this kind of heat as compared to running 20 sprints.

The only thing I would add would be that if the parents have an issue, the players should ask what was the purpose of the running in the 105 temps. These young ladies need to begin speaking up for themselves because when they get to college, not too many coaches pay too much attention to what parents have to say about how and what happens with their program. It's the players the coaches would rather hear from, not parents. Right Charlie?

    Agreed but...

...I don't think I could add anything that hasn't already been said on this topic.
