I'm not going to rank showcase programs, because there are several that are good, but the South Charlotte Panthers were one of the best teams I saw in 2009!

    Interesting.

Only one of these organizations can say they are the only team from North Carolina to ever win the WWBA Championship in East Cobb. It just happens to be the same team that is currently ranked #1 in the country by Perfect Game.

    Canes North.

If you want to evaluate it on their college commitments, then take a look at this list of 2011 verbals for the Canes Organization.

    Jake Cave - LSU
    Josh Tobias - Florida
    Dillon Maples - UNC
    Ryan Mayhew - UNC Wilmington
    Tyler Beede - Vanderbilt
    Cameron Capell - South Carolina
    Kyle Martin - South Carolina
    Jordan Ramsey - UNC Wilmington
    Nich Thompson - East Carolina
    Daniel Gossett - Clemson

Several others have offers on the table.

Every one of these kids were on the 16U WWBA National Champion Canes North team this past summer.

Yeah too bad we cant get a 7 game series b/w them and the Dirtbags. That would be something to see.

    Now, you guys are funny.:fan_wave2:

Throw the Cubs in the mix with those 2 and I don't think you would get the same result many times.
Saw the Cubs and Bags play in Cary late summer/fall.

    showcase

Simple if the dirtbags played the canes north I would take dirtbags in a seven game series . That is easy to pick. Heck the North canes tied the south canes this summer and the south canes went farther than the north canes in Fort Myers. So, how about some love for players that are over looked on the south canes. The reason the north canes are so good is that the north canes load that team with all the pitching and they have good players as well. If, you put the north canes pitching on the south canes 2011 team and they would be strong as well. Yes, the north canes have good players. But in my opinion Dirtbags are the best team in NC until someone disproves me. Oh wait, I might be disproved already, the carolina cubs could be the best team. I do believe the cubs beat the dirtbags at coastal carolina and the canes loss to the dirtbags. If this is true the cubs are the best.

    showcase

I believe the order goes as follows

    1. CUBS
    2. DIRTBAGS
    3. CANES
    4. SC PANTHERS
    5. ON DECK O'S

WHO CARES IT'S A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE LEGION COMES BACK. THIS SHOWCASE IS OVER RATED. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE PITCHING. GOOD PITCHING CAN HIDE PLAYERS IN THE FIELD. I CAN GIVE YOU EXAMPLE AFTER EXMPLE BUT KIDS READ THIS SITE.

I guess you have been disproved by the fact the Canes North are National Champions. What place did the Dirtbags come in?? Enough said.

From what I can tell, the Canes North pitchers were always on the North. Not sure about your facts unless you can provide more info. I think I remember seeing the Thompson kid on the South roster. All other kids were on the North roster last year.

    We can agree to disagree.

The Canes have too much pitching depth to lose a 7 game series. The pitching depth is the reason they are National Champions.

I agree it would be great to have a NC Showcase Playoff series with all organizations.
