It's nice to see that you all have pretty much counted Butler out. Hopefully, they will be able to quietly go about their business and get the job done at State's. It is important to realize that for the past several years, Butler's 2nd string and JV would be Varsity starters in any other program. Can you say "RELOAD"?

lost only two to graduation. They return seven starters and their number one pitcher. This team won the regular season, the conference tournament and lost in the third round to Bunn in a very close game. That was with four sophomores and one freshman in the starting lineup. They return four all conference players, three juniors and a sophomore. This group of girls have great team chemistry and a lot of desire to win. They are a fun team to watch!

    Say What?

Hey there ChiliDAWG! I don't see anywhere in these posts where anyone has counted out Butler. In fact, my earlier post mentioned that Butler would definitely be a strong state championship contender. I do feel that it will be a tall order to fill Ms. Constance Orr's shoes. She not only was the top pitcher in the state last year, but her bat was a very strong presence as well. Butler should win the SW4A, and barring injury at the pitching position, should go very deep in the playoffs. Good luck to the Lady Dawgs!!

Agree with you fpitch99, you don't just fill those shoes. She was also the best pitcher at the ASA nationals. Awesome talent!

Saint loses 1 starter from last years team, but will have another player back (pitcher, SS) that didn't play last year because of a illness. St. Stephens looking for another good run after losing out in the 4th round of Play-offs last year. Alot of hard work going on in the off season.

In 4A ND should be very good, along with north meck,AC, audrey kell and you can't count out butler, that area of charlotte is loaded with talent. An injury here or there can change things. also west forsyth should have a very good team.

in 2a chelsea will win it again for Central Davidson. just don't see anyone beating them in 2a.

But games will have to be played and a team can always have a bad game and get upset in the playoffs.
