    Sandbaggin 101

    Where's Diesel?

We have forgotten an important lesson here in the Eastern Part of the state. There are no good pitching staffs in Eastern North Carolina. All the good teams & pitching is in the Rowan County, Charlotte, & western area's of the state. We need to hold a conference in Greenville, & learn from the master.

Where's Tj when you need him. I want him to tell us who will have the best pitching next spring. I'm sure Rowan County will have a #1 ranked team next year in every classification.

It's going to be slim pickins east of I-95! All the good pitchers I know are having Olivia Newton John Surgery. That's not good! They can't even hold up a microphone, let alone throw it.:N1amenHL2:

Nice effort, but you missed a few of diesel's classes. The man is The Master!!!...temporarily supplanting Prepster. I just wish everyone had a chance to witness Prepster's Surreal Sandbagging Saga's---it was poetry at its best.:trophy:

Of course, Rocky Mount is on their own. No way you can sandbag w/ 2 UNC signees on your staff. They would have to keep Diesel on retainer to sell that.

    RM over GH

Well I feel compelled to say something since so much talk has been directed Green Hope's way, but based on my perceptions, I think you have to go with Rocky Mount over Green Hope because -

    1) None of GH's guys were UNC recruits - although Povse may well get there. So at the top end RM wins out.

    2) In this summer's Legion state tourneys, RM (Sr and Jr) beatup on Cary's teams (where the GH players play). I know RM's Moss shutout the Cary Jr team (where Pistacchio and Povse played).

    3) Good pitching relies on good defense - last year those GH pitchers really were helped by outstanding SS play from Eric Brady (now playing at Duke). From what I've seen, GH won't have that kind of play next year on the left side of the infield, and that will affect the pitching (confidence and just getting that great play to get out of an inning).

Just as a side note - GH's #3,#4, and #5 hitters next year will most likely be Pistacchio, Povse, and Boghosian - so those 3 players will be huge factors for GH next year.

A little ol' school opened up this year in Union County by the name of Cuthbertson HS. No history and no seniors. They'll be playing in the Rocky River 2A and some of the talent that came over is pretty strong for such a young group. Did I mention that Travis Llittle (Ex-Montreat College Head Coach ) is their head coach? Some of the pichers names might sound familiar and others may not, but it looks pretty strong for the next few years.
    Juniors
Peter Hendel (LHP) - South Charlotte Panthers (Ex-Weddington Varsity)
    Preston Morrison (RHP) - 2011 On-Deck O's Orange (Ex-Weddington JV)

    Sophmores
    Cameron Tekker (RHP) - 2012 On-Deck O's Black (Ex-Weddington Varsity)
Brandon Donovan (LHP) - 2011 On-deck O's Orange (Ex-Marvin Ridge JV) Understand he was slated to move up to varsity and be very high in the rotation.

    Freshman
    Andrew Hendel - (LHP) - 15U Stealth
Unknown name (Sorry about that, but has a nice arm from what I could tell) (LHP)

You just never know what might happen this year for Cuthbertson HS. I'm sure that Coach little will be able to make some noise for this first year school.

Sent you a PM. Peter moved out and is now going to school with his younger brother at Cuthbertson.

    Also,

Ragsdale would like to go ahead and play the 3A State Championship game at the beginning of the season at the Invite as well. That one & done stuff at the end of the season is a killer!

    :iagree:
