    The state tournament is at McCrary Park in Asheboro. Randolph County Post 45 is the host team, which means that only 1 other Area III team gets a bid.

    In our division (not sure what the name is), Randleman has 1 loss, Burlington Post 63 has 3 losses (as far as we know) and E. Randolph is 10-4. I'm not sure about anyone else, but there's a lot of ball left to be played up this way.

    Top 2 teams from each division, plus 2 wild card teams from Area III overall.

    That brings it to 8 teams total.

    Mooresville Post 66 (last year state runner-up) and Rowan are in.

    Is there not any playoff games prior to the state tourny or are the top two teams (Rowan & Mooresville) automatically in?

    Sorry I misread your quote. Mooresville and Rowan are in playoffs, not final state tournament. Plenty of playoff games to get to states. From what I figure you have to win 2 best of 3 and 1 best of 5 to get to states but I may be wrong.

    The Cary Bulls have qualified for the Eastern Qualifier Tournament in Cary at the USA Baseball National Training Center July 10-12 as the overall #1 seed.

    There, there will be 12 teams from the east. The top four, I believe, will advance to Asheboro for the 8-team State Tournament July 17-21.
