Keep an eye on Ryan Hinson from Northwestern High in Rock Hill. Ryan had a great spring and summer including his outstanding outing against Cherryville in the legion regionals in Rock Hill last summer. He pitched 7 strong innings with Rock Hill falling just short 4 - 3. The lefty will be someone to watch.

Is the Hovis kid from Charlotte? And if so is he related to Jonothan Hovis that pitches for Carolina?

Hensley (I believe 1st name Steven), a tremendous pitcher. Was touching 88 last yr as a sophmore. Has all the tools. Owen HS.

West Henderson has a few that could be. How hard they work this winter will determine.

    R. J. Reynolds with the four juniors that rjr4dad mentioned faced some tough competition in the Central Piedmont 4-A conference last year, as well as in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County tournament. These young men (Hampton Foushee, Jay Laramore, Nick DeRose,Torrey Johnson) were all major contributors to Reynolds last year as sophomores, and will be even moreso this year. Foushee was named Reynolds' rookie of the year, and Laramore was named Reynolds' defensive player of the year.

    Homerun4 ....

Even though I'm over 100 miles away, I've seen all 4 of these young men play. I not only believe you are wrong in your judgement, I KNOW you are wrong. These guys are players. They might have not looked strong enough when compared to seniors last season, but they were all sophomores.

    It's called projectability.
