    Can't follow instructions

I know the thread is for "Juniors" - but to include underclassmen, need to mention -

Jimmy Boyd (Soph) Middle Creek - Pitcher/Catcher/1B - could be the MVP in the Tri-9 this year.

    2011 Prospects

    Matthew Hedberg
2011 6ft 4in. 185lb RHP/OF (R/R) Myers Park HS Matthew Hedberg is a bulldog on the mound that has an 83-86 mph fastball that he can locate to both sides of the plate and a good change up and slider to go with it.

    Brandon Burris
2011 MIF/OF 155lb (R/R) Mt Pleasant HS Brandon Burris in a nutshell is a BASEBALL PLAYER. He is a top of the order disciplined hitter with a good approach at the plate and has great bat speed and pop for his size. He is the type of player that has a huge impact on the game offensively and defensively with the way he swings the bat, runs the bases and catches the ball. His actions in the field are exceptional, possesses great range and quickness, and the footwork around the bag is beyond his years.

    Tyler Powell
2011 6ft 4in 195 lb 3B/1B/P (R/R) Myers Park HS Tyler Powell with his size and power is a beast on the ballfield. He is a middle of the order RBI producer with a great swing and approach at the plate but the ball jumps off of his bat. He is also a versatile player that can also pitch with a mid 80’s Fastball.

    Alex Morales
2011 OF (R/L) Union Academy Prospect Alex Morales is a diamond in the rough player that has some serious tools that will no doubt translate to the next level. He is left handed hitting middle of the order RBI producer with a ton of bat speed and power, great arm strength in the outfield and a very good runner.

    Rob Bain
2011 6 ft. 165lb Northwest Cabarrus HS Left Handed Pitcher Rob Bain is a strike throwing machine (80 to 84) that has the ability to throw to both sides of the plate and has an exceptional change up that he can throw at any time for a strike. He is a fierce competitor on the hill that really pushes the pace of the game and is never afraid to bust a hitter inside.

    Conner Patterson
2011 Left Handed Hitting Ardrey Kell High School Catcher is a vocal leader who is really evolving into a top notch prospect that can do it offensively and defensively. He is a good blocker and receiver that possesses a strong arm. His pop times now as a Junior are consistently in the 2.0 to 2.1 range but his strong suit is the way he handles pitchers and what he is capable of doing offensively. He has a sweet left handed swing that allows him to spray the ball all over the yard.

    Chris McCue
2011 5 ft 11in 155lb Pitcher Prospect Chris McCue is another diamond in the rough player who has some great tools and a stand out player at Ardrey Kell High School. He is still developing as a Pitcher but has a loose quick arm that has been clocked between 87 – 89 consistently and has touched 92mph. The skies the limit for this kid and drawing a ton of attention from colleges

    Alex Jensen
2011 6ft. 1in 160lb Charlotte Catholic HS Infield Prospect Alex Jensen is a fundamentally sound player on offense and on defense. He is an aggressive gap to gap type hitter right now who sprays the ball all over the field and is going to drive balls out of the park when he adds some muscle. He possesses very good hands and a strong throwing arm that allows him to play 3rd base while being very smooth with his actions in the middle.

    Nick McGee
2011 6ft 1in. 170lb West Meck Catching Prospect Nick McGee is a versatile athletic Catcher with a strong arm behind the plate and has pop times around 2.00 to 2.10. His strength however is his hitting which shows through the way the ball jumps off his bat and how he is able to drive balls hard consistently. He has been the starting Catcher and 3 hole hitter at West Meck High School since he was a Freshman.

    Grant Goodson
2011 5ft. 8 in. 155lb Myers Park Left Handed Hitting Middle Infield Prospect Grant Goodson is a coach’s dream when it comes to his knowledge of the game. He is a great competitor who has unbelievable instincts and feel for the game and is a very versatile player who can play either middle position and gets great jumps on the ball in the outfield. He is a line drive hitter who knows his game and really knows how to hit balls to all fields.

    Shawn Weber
2011, 5’-10”/ 170lb JM Robinson infield prospect Shawn Weber is a real “gamer”, with an old school mentality approach to the game. He is a kid who is very knowledgeable with a high baseball IQ and really sees the game. He brings aggressive play and a confident swagger to the field. He is a versatile guy who can play anywhere in the infield as well as outfield. Offensively he is a right handed hitter who can really get the head out on good fastballs but also has a good approach which will help him succeed at the next level.

    Preston Morrison
2011, 6’ 2” 160lb Cuthbertson HS Pitching Prospect Preston Morrison is a guy who really understands how to pitch. He has good command of his sinking fastball to both sides of the plate and has the ability to throw his off speed for strikes anytime in any count. He is a big game pitcher that always seems to come out on the winning side.

    Shell McCain
2011 5ft 9in 160lb Nation Ford HS middle infield prospect is a throwback type player who plays the game the way it is supposed to be played. He can flat out get it done with the way he swings the bat and catches the ball. His relentless play offensively/defensively and baserunning stands out everytime he steps on the field to the college evaluators.
