the score visitors 5, home 0

runners 1st and 3rd, 1 out, #2 hitter, right handed, at the plate.
home team has a left handed relief pitcher on the mound, pitched to 1 hitter.

Well, of course I want to be the visitors, up 5-0. If I really wanted that insurance run I would let my #2 and #3 hitters swing away but if for some reason they haven't been producing I would send my runner at third as soon as the pitcher comes set then when my runner at third takes off I would have my runner at first go. Pitcher only sees the runner at first, picks to first, runner scores.

that's a bit risky..it may work, but could run you out of an inning...a good pitcher is aware of both runners and at the set position could still step off....

Usually the thought process would be to make sure u r up by at least 4 runs going into the last inning. Since you are already up by 5, I'd let the #2 batter swing away. Theres got to be a good reason he is that high up in the order.
