i think it's great we have a lot of great teams from the western part of nc, but have we forgotten there are some pretty good teams down east. for starters we have the pitt co. rockets which won the nsa 16u and usfa 16u state tournament in 2003 as a 14 u team and finished second in the nsa "a" world series. the hurricanes, hurricanes silver, carolina spirit, dominators, south wake storm and the carolina diamonds are a few eastern nc teams that have a winning program year after year.pitt co. rockets

Welcome aboard rocketsdad!! I am sure you will find some here that wish they could forget the Rockets though!! I personally watched you guys 14u's playing Up......great talent and smart....in Charlotte and win it all ..... 16u division to boot. We here at TBR Softball have grown quickly throughout WNC/WSC and beyond but Only have a few down east WHO post. Most just dont even know about this Board.......... so encourage others from Pitt County county to join in the fun. And do keep us here in the western part of NC updated on Eastern NC SOFTBALL. Spread the news so we can get- to -know, not only Pitt Co Rockets but other Eastern Stars! Impressive year for the Rocket Program, know you and many others are proud and we hope you will share their high school shedules with us(thread pops up soon) so those who travel down east can pop in and watch. People actually do this alot so we encourage Full Participation.
:D Nice site on eteamz toooooo!!

Do you have DD(s) that play? Age? etc

Again welcome to TBR and especially Softball:cool:

    Thanks,

This seems to be a great forum where we can keep up with fastpitch softball throughout all of N.C. Hopefully more people will log on down East as I will post info on our site about TBR in the next few days. The Rockets are really looking forward to another great season in 2004 as we will play 16u and possibly some 18u tournaments. My DD is 14 years old and is one of the Rockets Pitchers as well as Second base and Outfield. We have been in fastpitch for approx. 6years starting with the Spinners and the Wilson Diamonds. We were very fortunate last season to be asked to play with the Rockets since we are not from Pitt Co. but it has really been a great experience for DD to be associated with such a great group of girls and a coach that aims for the stars and will spend and share whatever it takes to give the Rockets players the greatest tools and training available in N.C. as well as treating each girl with TOTAL respect. I guess you could say I'm bragging but that's Ok. I know as a RocketDad how proud we are to be associated with such a great group of parents and players

The Team to Beat is ?

The Team to beat in the 4A is CCHS just because of the coaching they have. Now to add the best High School softball coach in NC in Monte Sherrill. Good Luck Monte this year.

EB 9074; How does East Burke's team look for the upcoming year? I think we lost 7 starters to graduation this year at S. Caldwell and most of those were 3 and 4 year starters so I don't look for SC to be near as strong as last year. Still some good jv players coming up should make SC competitive but with Alexander and Reynolds losing very few players they will probablly be tough

    Kings Mtn SWFH3A

you will see a talented Kings Mtn team this year with most players playing yearround ball returning or joining in the mix. They will battle St Stephens for the conference title much like last year! St Stephens and Kings Mtn are both top twenty in NC...IMO

    Merry Christmas to all!

Top Teams Down East (Rocket Launcher)

    OK everyone,

here is my take on high school teams from the east that should do very well this year in hope of reaching the finals at walnut creek. They are in no particular order.

    1. Manteo
    2. C.B. Aycock
    3. Harnette Central
    4. Greenville J.H. Rose
    5. D.H. Conley
    6. Ayden Grifton
    7. Wilson Hunt
    8. Fike High School
    9. Wilson Beddingfield
    10. Clayton High
I'm sure I left someone out but these MAY be some of the teams you will probably see in the FINAL FOUR.
