With the mix of talent, coaching and the deepest pitching staff I have seen on a high school team in a long while no one can beat S. Meck. State Champions no doubt!

Dont forget Central Cabbarus, Hopewell & North Meck from the MECA-6.
Central will be extremely tough once again.

    South Caldwell

No doubt South Caldwell will be one of the favorites. They are loaded and they are deep at every positon. And they are going to have a fantastic pitching staff. They have two stud pitchers in Jr. Madison Bumgarner and Sr. Matt Gragg and two other guys that are pretty effective aswell. If they hit the ball around a little then watch out.

We expect Charlotte Christian School to be competetive with anyone they are permitted to play. Unfortunately, CMS has effectively slammed the door shut again so CCS will be competing against teams from FL, GA, non-CMS NC and SC in 2006.

On paper, though SMeck pitching has to get the nod against any staff (public or private) across the state. Their top 3 gave up what, 2 runs in Jupiter against some of the premier talent in the nation?

    Forsyth County Teams

Forsyth County will have some strong teams....leading the way is North Forsyth, West Forsyth and Glenn. North will have the experience and the addition of Dustin Ackley will help them tremendously. West will be strong as usually. Greg Holt will the dominant and I'm sure Coach Pope can provide us with some more indepth info on that team. Glenn will have CJ Beatty (NC A&T) and Kyle Boyan leading the team. Both are work horses and will be good leaders for that team. Jason Bixby seems to be the guy that will hold down that pitching staff. My sleeper team of Forsyth County will be East Forsyth....new "interm" head coach Allen Plaster has some talent back from last years 2nd place Metro 4A team and returns 3 all-conference players in Kenny Swab (Jr.), Ryan Sprinkle (Sr.), and Alex Starbuck (Sr.)...East will return starters Ben Nunn and Jody Calloway who have been on the varsity since their Sophomore years and Ryan Sprinkle who also threw very well last year. Tyler Hanover (Soph.) and Alex Starbuck will hold the power and East will rely on them the most for run production. Also, East has some promising underclassmen coming up from the JV team.

Maybe Coach Pope can add to this on what he sees through out the county
