    Top Teams discussion

Top teams based on?? 1) Record?, 2) Potential?, 3) Projection?

Tough task... I've tackled it before ... This is a partial list that I've put up "with some modifications". Take a look and good luck trying to make sense of any ranking system.

Here is the list I posted. Good luck trying to rank them. It will be a true challenge.
    ------------------------------------------------------
Leading Candidates in the order I remembered how to spell the school names (which is as good a method for ranking as any).

    Ind: Charlotte Christian,

2A: West Henderson, East Rutherford, Mt. Pleasant, Randleman, North Stanly

3A: Ragsdale, Tuscola, TC Roberson, Glenn, St. Stephens, West Rowan, Piedmont, Hickory, East Henderson, Franklin, Ashbrook, NW Cabarrus

4A: South Meck, Providence, McDowell, South Caldwell, West Forsyth, North Forsyth, East Forsyth, RJ Reynolds
    ------------------------------------------------------
We aren't getting ANY information out of the Richmond HS area so I'm going to ignore that they exist in the West for now.
I am still weak in the Triad area. I don't have enough info to make recommendations or comments.

OBTW: No one wants to touch this topic.......... Don't expect a lot of responses.

maybe it will be an okay topic as long as we don't try to rank them. i was just wandering who may have the chance to move on to take on the eastern regional champion (probably fuquay). don't want any rankings as far as who you think may be # 1,2, or 3

Limiting it to 4A only makes the task a lot easier.

    I'll give you a shot.

    1. South Caldwell
    2. South Meck
    3. McDowell
    4. Providence
    5. West Forsyth
    6. East Burke
    7. Myers Park
    8. North Meck
    9. North Forsyth
    10. (tie) Alexander Central/East Meck
South Caldwell, South Meck, McDowell & Providence all have the talent to play with Fuquay-Varina. Below that level, it gets a little dicey. I don't expect ANY team to come out of the West with less than 2 losses. The competition is too stiff.

    JUST GUESSING!!!!!
That said, there are some dark-horse candidate that can make some noise for awhile in the states. I don't see anyone other than those 4 coming out of the NW4A because their are only 2 berths this season, so two good teams are staying home. I expect to see South Caldwell and McDowell. All 4 of the SW4A teams will go probably. The Meca8 will probably send Hopewell, North Meck & either Independence or Central Cabarrus. The Metro 4A will send North Forsyth and East Forsyth. The CPC will send West Forsyth and RJ Reynolds.

It's looking to be some tough competition this year. The biggest question is "who has the pitching to play a two/three game series with Fuquay (or Green Hope, JH Rose, Hoggard, Garner, New Bern, etc). The single elimination format could eliminate the best competition from either the East or the West. A double elimination tournament would be the best way to go, playing 3 times/week. You would know who the really good teams were in a hurry.

(This ought to start some "differences of opinion")

That's why I like going first :D :D :D I can put out a list and everyone else gets to respond and differ with it AND explain big differences in the lists.

thsbb: Tell us about CB Aycock. We haven't heard about them this season on the board. Why should the be #2? Is St. Stephens stronger than Hickory? Is TC down? (or at #11)?

    :D :D

    Discuss, discuss....

we was in the CCC my freshman year and in 1998 our Varsity team were CCC conf champs but lost in there game in the state playoffs, last year and this in the RRC and these are the only 7 2A teams im really familiar with because no team has ever really started off this good at North and we hope to make this the best team ever. All our players are determined to be undefeated, RRC season champs, RRC tourny champs. WE CAN ONLY HOPE!!!
but how did u hear bout us:
2A: West Henderson, East Rutherford, Mt. Pleasant, Randleman, North Stanly
u rarely see nething bout us is always them other teams u posted. i was suprised when i seen it so i had to sign up and talk
