    He just did? Unfortunately for me, I never saw him play. Same with Sean Farrell. I remember all his HR numbers, but I never got to see him play in HS.

    Calvin Hayes is one I forgot to mention. He is an incredible player

    wow; forgot that Josh Hamilton played legion ball at Fuquay-Varina . And to think now they don't even have a legion team, right?

    Another thought: what players were not outstanding in HS, but blossomed late, kept their dream, worked hard, and played in college or maybe even the pro's?

    Lennon, Zumwalt, Tuttle, L. Russell, Meadows, MacPherson, etc.... had an oppty to coach them and against them! Studs indeed! :boat::boat::boat:

    2 players back in the early - mid 80's (??) that later played at NC State: Louie Meadows and Chuckie Canady. Anyone play with or against these guys? I think they also played football pretty well.
