Just to update, Brian Dice (Fred T Foard) is off to a terrific season. His work with the bat has caught up to his defensive skills and is really turning heads (L-R, WCU, and others). Keep up the good work, Brian!:woot:

Well said, no college is going to be lucky enough to pick up this kid, he will be a top draft pick-this kid can play. Not only can he bring the heat and make hitters look horrible, he can also make pitchers look pretty bad with his bat. Madison is an outstanding player and should be making some pretty good money in a few years.

I don't doubt that Madison will be drafted. But, deciding to go pro or go to college is a complex decision if he is drafted early (Top 5 rounds). Andrew Miller is a lefty @ UNC throwing 95+ and it helped him tremendously going to college. Don't be surprised that he may be 1st in the draft (plus he will have 3years of college under his belt)

Andrew Taylor is another example of a highly skilled lefty that decided on college.

Ryan Morris at South Meck is facing that same decision this year.

Absolutely! Clay is an extremely tough left hander. He's got a solid fastball with an above average curve. If he's around the plate......look out. He's a real competitor with tons of baseball smarts.

Another senior for Hickory is Conner Hilton (RF). He is a physical stud who excels in football and basketball as well. I've heard that he is about to sign to play football, but I'm not sure. He's a real athlete with tremendous power to all fields.....great kid as well.

    Players to look at

Justin Duncan of Riverside HS is a guy that someone needs to take notice of. This kid is a rangy RHP that knows how to pitch. I dont have his stats but he can flat out pitch and would make a nice pitcher at the next level.

Jordan Parker of Northern Durham HS. Jordan can flat go get it in the outfield. This guy can run. He hits from the left side and can cause some serious trouble on the bags with outstanding speed and great baseball instincts. Jordan's make up is outstanding he is a true team player.

Two of the better senior players in the triangle area that have not signed as of today. Both are very good students and outstanding young men as well.

Thanks Coach...those are two players that I would like to hear more from. They sound like quite a duo. People still don't realize how many college coaches read this thread. They love to pick up the names of players that you described.:trophy:

I'll tell ya though, Coach. This coming summer is going to be extremely busy and very interesting for your son. I know of some schools that are salivating waiting for this summer to contact Coach 27 jr.

oh...and I saw where he was 4-4 yesterday in your big win. Great job!!!!!

Madison Bumgarner, Madison Bumgarner, did I say Madison Bumgarner. Been following baseball for a long time, he's only a junior but I can honestly say, no juniors can touch him and not many seniors right now. Madison has the whole package. Grades...Fastball....off speed....lefty...and his stick is right there. Just hope he makes the right decisions that he will face. I hope its college first, he needs the season and experience that college can give him. I have no doubt we will see him one day on a pro team, IF he keeps his head on straight and stays focused. The baseball world is his if he does. :1peekdoor
