I'ma throw these guys in. Each has a school looking at them but no offers on the table yet:

Andrew O'Neal: Incredible athlete. Had a soccer scholarship offer after his junior year. POY in soccer as a junior. All-conference this year so far in basketball, soccer, and football. Extremely fast, extremely strong. Can kill a baseball for a homerun and then beat out a push bunt the next at bat. Has been playing 2nd base but would be amazing in the outfield.

Thomas Newsome: Left handed pitcher. Won't overpower you at all but has a devastating changeup and good curveball. He locates his fastball, and with the changeup he has, the fastball looks a lot faster than it really is. He's 4-0 so far this year, and beat West Stanly and Owen last year in the playoffs.

Cory Crumley: Four-year starter at shortstop. One of the smoothest shortstops I've ever seen. Incredible range and arm strength. Has good power and speed as well.

All three have great work ethics and good kids off the field. They'd be worth looking at, that's all I'm gonna say.

West Stokes. Sorry, I forgot to mention that again. I'm used to people knowing what school I'm with over on ncpreps. Sorry I didn't mention it.

He may have already been mentioned - Jason Merrill with West Henderson. Best catcher in WNC.

Also, Shane Galloway from Rosman. Possibly the best 1-A pitcher statewide.

Does anybody know where he is now? At one time, he was at Topsail and was touted as a can't miss prospect. That was a few years ago, though. I recently heard that he was at Laney, but not sure. Does anybody know if he has plans on playing college ball next year?

Nuffced could probably help you with that info, he's from that part of the state.

Let's add Devin Presnell to this list. The undersized scrappy second baseman for the Watauga High Pioneers. This kid just gets it done. He plays the game the way it's supposed to be played. He has a knack for coming up big in crucial situations. What he lacks in size and strength is quickly offset by heart and alot of grit. He is getting some looks as of right now, and I'm sure more interest will come his way as the season moves forward.

I hope that I am perfectly clear in my opinion about Devin. College coaches come watch Devin play and their first thought is , " Geez...he's kind of small...and he's not very strong"....but what they don't see is what Roadking described.

This kid is a true "Dirtbag". All he ever does is make plays, get the key hits and "rises to the occasion". He lives for pressure, big games and wants to bat in pressure situations. The things you can't teach a player, Devin Presnell has it. To me he is the biggest little man in our state. A competitor, a fighter and a humble young man as well. I'll take 9 Presnell's and compete with anyone!!!!!

    Yep...I think I like this kid :D:D:D

Thomas Newsome is up to 5-0 with 5 complete games. He has only given up 6 runs total. I don't know how many of those are earned, but even if they all were, which I'm sure they're not, that would be a 1.27 ERA.

Squid- to keep the rumors and wrong information to be posted on this board, I would appreciate any questions about any player vs controversy being handled through a PM. I know you will understand why. We have to keep in mind that although they are young men...they are still kids
