Traffic Report for folks coming from the west

Avoid I-40 from where it splits off of I-85 near Hillsboro to near the Research Triangle Park. There is construction going on this weekend that will cause major traffic backups all weekend. This will only affect EAST BOUND traffic. There is a marked detour (I-85n to Hwy 147). Two alternate detours are, for Five Co. Stadium. take I-85 to US 70 east (in Durham) to I-540 to US 64. For Doak Field, take 421 south in Greensboro and then get on US 64 east at Siler City. 64 will bring you right into the beltline in Raleigh and you can exit onto Western Blvd. to get to the NCSU campus.
This construction will not affect traffic going west so you won't have delays going home.
