    Good Tournament , Nice Facility, Good Competition, My daughter and myself drove (5) hrs to play with another team as a loaner until we get started in the month of June......Softball Guru......:satana:

    illegal pitch?

    in the photo of the pitcher (the one with tan-colored building in background); would that technically be considered an illegal pitch? her pivot foot appears to be off the ground).

    I'll answer it this way....if it is trully off the ground,yes it is an illegal pitch,if you can get it called by an umpire............GOOD LUCK !!!!.....the toe must drag the surface through the pitch.....Softball Guru...:banned:

    Why is it that the umps are afraid to call a pitcher that crow hops. We had a girl in a game that LEAPED off the rubber then replanted and threw. Blue said that she was not gaining an advantage, DAH!!! Oh, by the way this was an ASA tourny.

    To be honest about it, I don't think the umps know the difference in crow hopping vs. a leap or any other illegal approach to the plate...but if a team is hitting they will prove that no matter what is thrown to them they will conquer it......:satana: ............Softball Guru
