    Softball Anyone?

    Plenty of softball in the area this weekend. AAU 2005 Spring State Championships gets underway today a 9am at Nevins Park in Charlotte. 12u 14u and 16u will be playing in the 2 day tournament.

    In Dallas-Gastonia area, NSA is putting on the Girls Fastpitch SUPER NIT. This tournament also gets underway today at 9am. at Biggerstaff Park in Dallas and Poston Park in Lowell. 10u 12u and 14u will be competing.

    Tonite at 6pm Central Cabarrus hosts Mauldin SC in a High School game.

    Come on out fans and enjoy some softball, Ladies fastpitch style!!

    sure!! i am going to Dallas first for some 14u and then over to CC for that HS Game, pending approval from my better-half!! :banginghe

    Thanks for posting storm030. Hope to see you again soon. Wasn't able to make this tournament. Sure glad you posted the results.

    Great weekend for Fastpitch for sure.

    Atlanta Vipers BLACK, three 10u pitchers throwing 50+ couldn't be touched!

    Fuquay Bombs RED, Great 12u team all around.

    Carolina Cobras, always tough to beat in 14u.

    Has anyone else ever heard of such? I'm not saying it's not true, but if it is :229031_ha

    They were truely incredible. My daughter is a 10u pitcher with a fastball that has been gunned at 48 during games several times. I didn't have a radar but they were visibly faster than her. We just don't see that kind of pitching around here in 10u :banginghe .
    I'll also say, the pitchers were some BIG girls to be 10u.

    Had one of the parents from xtreme in shop today, said pitching was in high forty's, but strength of team was infield, third and short with fantastic arms, compatable with 14-15 year old girls. vipers great organization.
