Congratulations to Ragsdale's Trevor Mullins who was recognized by IMPACT as the pitcher of the year in North Carolina. With these stats "a 16-0 record, 1.55 ERA with 117 strikeouts and only 26 walks in 85 innings pitched. Opponents hit a soft .191 against the senior right-hander." it's easy to see why he deserved the honor.

And while calling him another Robert Woodard might be a stretch, watching Woodard pitch made me think of Mullins. Trevor doesn't have the 95 mph fastball but he does throw consistently in the 83-87 range and he knows how to "pitch". He has good off speed stuff and knows when to use it mixing up his pitches well. He hits his spots, he isn't afraid to come inside and knows how to work the hitters.

I was surprised to see how low a batting average he gave up because it seems like he would give up hits but once they got on base that was where they stayed. Anybody that saw him pitch this year knows how good he was. I think he won 30 games in high school which is phenomenal.

And on top of all that he is a great kid.

I hope he does really well at ASU and can work himself into the draft in a few years.

Wow Wossa, Trevor does sound a lot like Woody, who BTW also won POY.

Congratulations to Trevor Mullins...he is following Wossa's footsteps to ASU.
