TREY LANEY TO WESTERN CAROLINA

    2010 TREY LANEY; Charlotte Christian IF has committed to attend school and play baseball at Western Carolina for the Catamounts following high school.
    Congratulations to Trey and his family.

    I saw Trey play this past week for the first time. I've heard a lot about him, but I never had an opportunity to see him. After watching him two things jumped out at me:

    - great size and athleticism
    - what a competitor

    You can tell this young man does not like to lose...and is not accustomed to it.

    I've been told from many people I respect that he is a dream to coach. Coach Miranda must be dancing in the streets of Cullowhee to land Trey

    My son played on the SCP 2010 summer team with Trey.
    I can say that he is a hard worker and agree with Braves that he does not like to lose and is not accustomed to losing. Great young man with athletic ability and a great work ethic. Can play multiple positions and can hit in any hole in the lineup. Is eager to get playing time and will excel in all positions.
    Western just got a whole lot better with Trey Laney.
