About 2 weeks remaining in the season we've about everything we need to from most players. Who's your POY (player of the year) candidates for the Tri-Nine?

Fuquay running away with conference right now with middle creek 2 games back.

I predicted the correct top just not the correct order. I had Holly Springs pitching beating the FV bats but that has not been the case. Barring a collapse of epic proportions FV wins the conference.

    POY will be tough.

I think Wantz at Holly Springs has been pitcher of the year in the Tri-9.

I will take a guess the POY will come from Fuquay with it either being Garret Suggs or Brett Daniels

Most likely the POY comes from the conference champions in this case FV. However I am not certain Suggs has lived up to the pre-season hype (on the mound at least).

    So that leaves Brett Daniels.

Brian Fortier & Andy Wantz have had notable seasons at the plate and on the mound.

    It will come from Fuquay.

Suggs hitting in the upper .400 with a 4-0 record on the mound
Daniels hitting in the lower .400 with a 6-0 record on the mound

    both having fantastic years

    tri-9 POY

FV player most likely. Daniels is unbeaten on the mound with a ton of Ks (most certainly a D1 arm) and hit 3 bombs at the plate. Suggs hitting just under .500 and unbeaten on mound. DJ Burt has been lights out at SS.

Not sure how being undefeated in pitching has not lived up to the hype?

Also to note Suggs: just broke school record with career runs with 100. And 22 stolen bases on the year.

Daniels: Has about 30 RBIs and 3 bombs.

Both players are carrying FV at the plate and mound being 10-0

Suggs is a D1 CF not a pitcher so not sure what hype was giving for him pitching even though he is 4-0

Alright hit a sensitive button with the FV crowd. (I am not saying he is not a a very good player)

Yes he is a D1 OF. Seen him pitch several times this year, just not as dominating as everyone was saying he would be. I would not say he is FV's number 1 pitcher.

Last 3 POY in the Tri-9 were also the best pitcher in the conference, not certain before that.

After FV failed to live up to the pre-season predictions in 2012 they have come through in spades this year.

Not sensitive just facts, he was a good pitcher last year but he still never dominated.
