    That's half of it. That would be the first thing or mistake a player can make. Show up with sweat pants and no cleats. That should make you a starter. NOT!!!!!!!

    Pretty fair turn out about 35 or so. Newbies and trying again. Man the field improvements are really looking good and getting there.:detective:

    I believe the count at West Henderson(2A) was 40.

    are these varsity only numbers? or are they jv/varsity combined?
    Northwood had around 40-45 with probably 5-8 missing due to jv/varsity basketball... that is varsity and jv combined.
    I was on the softball field watching DD tryout. Looks like she may make varsity softball as a freshman!... that's for another board though. It is right behind the right field fence so I could "spy" on the closed baseball tryout. Some of those freshman baseball players sure looked little!

    Tryout numbers!

    Ha! Here in the might metropolis of Bryson City, home of the maroon devils, I counted numbers as I rode to basketball practice. Once I parked and took off shoes for counting purposes, I came up with 15 players dressed for tryouts and this includes JV's.

    We have 8 varsity baseball players still playing basketball and probably the same playing JV basketball right now.

    While everyone else is scrimmaging, our conference tournament doesn't start til this weekend.

    Alas, the life of a small 1A mountain school. But me thinks Kevin11 has been taking Braves sandbagging lessons. If Swain is not ranked preseason #1 in the state for 1A then Andy Partin should be fired and shipped out of the country. But they are in the mountains and I doubt Andy will not know where Bryson City is without mapquest.

    We actaully had a very low turnout. 25-26 or so. I can understand somewhat at the varsity level but I'm very disappointed more freshmen did not come out.
