    We (A. C. Reynolds) are the only 4A school in WNC, we are located in Asheville, NC about 35 to 40 minutes east of Western Carolina University. We are always contenders for our conference title winning the NW4A conference tournament last year.

    Asheville City Schools:
    Asheville High 4A

    The Enka softball team was undefeated in the MAC conference last year and was runner-up in the State play-offs.
    Enka also has solid academic programs. They were awarded the Gold award by The High Schools That Work conference in Atlanta this past fall.
    Enka scored above average on the NAEP test and are ranked # 1 in the state in reading and science and # 2 in math.

    Plus-this is a beautiful place to live, although the cost of living here is a lot higher than most areas.

    Thanks EnkaMom12 for the information. We have visited the WNC area and it is very Beautiful. Maybe we will consider that area.

    Kings Mtn HS and Crest HS in Cleveland County! great academics, outstanding athletic programs(CHS i.e. football 2time state champs and state runner-up in basketball just this year alone, KMHS: one of the top softball and volleyball programs in WNC) and close enough to Charlotte or Asheville (one hour away from either) for some city excitement!!
