Private tryouts will be held through September 17. On September 10th in Pittsboro; other days in RTP and the Foothills (Wilkes County Area). Individual tryouts by appointment. Tarheel Fastpitch Stars 18u/16u Elite Teams
The Tarheel Fastpitch Stars organization was created to field teams of elite players throughout the state and region that are looking for professional coaching and play at a high level, particularly players that are pupils of The Fastpitch School [www.thefastpitchschool.com).

Our Goal? Simple — Help players extend their career beyond high school by preparing them to play at a high level and presenting them to university and college recruiters.

How? Showcase, Championship and Development Tournaments - Legendary Showcase, Va; Gold Diamond, TN; WFC Early Signing, SC; Fireworks, Denver to name a few. 12 to 14 tournaments through the 2011 - 2012 seasons for each of the 18u and 16u teams

18U Head Coach Monica Armendarez
Hometown Carlsbad, NM - 1998 graduate of Indiana University as a 4 Time All Big Ten and 2 Time All American. Following her outstanding college career Monica played in the Women's Professional Softball League with the Carolina Diamonds for two seasons, where in 1999 she set the WPSL single-season home run record (12), one season for the WPSL All-Star Team, as well as a season with the Akron Racers. Seven years as an 18U Head Coach, former Head Coach of the Carolina Lady Blues.

16U Head Coach Michelle Batts
Started all 193 games Northwestern played during her career ... Concluded her career ranked fourth in NU history in walks (101), fifth in home runs (41), slugging (.554) and RBIs (154), and sixth in on-base percentage (.403); NFCA All Region Team in 2008 and 2010; All Big Ten 3 of her 4 college seasons; Started all games and was a key contributor to the 2008 ASA 18u Class “A” National Champion Lemont, IL Rockers; Coached the Lemont Rockers, 2008 thru 2010; Coached the St. Charles Comets 14u, 2010-2011 before moving back to NC this summer.

Try Outs

The Foothills Heat will be holding a tryout this Sunday from 3:00pm at Saint Stephens High School in Hickory NC. We are looking for dedicate players who play multiple positions, pitchers and catchers are a plus. We are a young 18U team looking to build for the future. We have experience in all aspects of coaching and the recruiting process. We play a competitive NC & SC ASA sanctioned schedule. There are five tournaments scheduled for this fall including: USC Up-State, Ray Chandler Memorial, South Atlantic Fall Exposure, Pride Showcase and the WFC Showcase in Myrtle Beach. All of our 2011's and 2012's have signed and committed respectfully. Please contact Steve Simmons 828-312-3992 if interested in trying out, or scheduling a personal try out if Sunday will not work. Carolina Cardinals- McKinney

The Carolina Cardinals-McKinney is looking to add a pitcher and middle infielder/utility player to our roster to complete the fall season and play the summer of 2012. We are preferably looking for 2013 graduates who are still 16U eligible. Will consider the right 2014 player if she is ready to compete at the level we play. We are a 16U registered team, but play mostly an 18U schedule.

We are looking for players who desire to play in college and can compete at the level of competition we play. Our team has players from all around NC and VA. We rotate practice sites to different parts of the state to make travel as fair as possible.

THE CAROLINA GATORS 18 GOLD TEAM IS LOOKING FOR YOUNG LADIES TO REPLACE OUR GIRLS THAT LEFT FOR COLLEGE.

WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR YOUNG LADIES THAT WANT TO PLAY AT THE NEXT LEVEL. WE PLAY ALOT OF SHOWCASES UP AND DOWN THE COAST. OUR MAIN REASON FOR THE "GATORS" IS TO GET OUR GIRLS SIGNED WHILE WINNING BALL GAMES AS WELL.

Our organization is dedicated to Showcasing young players talents and getting them seen to play College Softball. We play a varity of Showcase tournaments in NC, SC, GA and VA. The North Carolina Challengers – Renzi is looking to add a pitcher and a catcher to our roster to complete the fall 2011 season and play the summer of 2012. We are seeking 2013 and 2014 graduates who want to compete at the highest level of fast pitch softball. For the fall 2011 and summer 2012 we will be registered as an 18U team. We are seeking players that are hoping to continue their softball career in college and are interested in playing the best competition that the nation has to offer.

Looking for a team

My dd is currently looking for a team for fall 2011/spring 2012. We are looking for a team that mainly plays competitive showcase ball as she desires to play in college. She will graduate 2013.
