Carolina Comets Teal 18u Open Tryouts on Sunday, Oct.16

The Carolina Comets Teal (2011 ASA 16u State Champions) (McGuffey) have moved up to 18u. We are looking to add a couple of players to our strong and talented team (Pitcher is a PLUS). We are having open try-outs to fill these spots on Sunday, Oct. 16th from 2:00 to 5:00 at Lake Norman High School,186 Doolie Road Mooresville, NC 28117.

We have 2 or 3 more showcase events this fall, Fall Exposure in Spartanburg, Southern Force in Watkinsville GA, and another college play.

Our 2012 season will look very much like our 2011 season with a couple of adjustments. Our play during the season takes us to NC, SC, Ga, Va, and possibly Jacksonville, Fl. We are already confirmed in the major 2012 college showcases.

If you would like to play at the next level, prepare yourself to play in college, and have an opportunity to showcase your talents in front of college coaches (D1, D2, D3 & Jr Colleges), come workout with our Comets Team.

If you have any questions, please contact Roger McGuffey @ [email protected] or phone @ 704.236.7428. Please visit our Carolina Comets website @ www.carolinacomets.org .

    Thanks,
    Coach Roger

The 16U team has four open roster spots, particularly left side and outfield.

The 18U team is looking for a catcher/OF.

The Stars have players on our rosters from all over the state (some out of state), and practice primarily in the Greensboro area. We also rotate practice in the RTP area and the foothills. The Stars program has an extensive off season program for skills development and conditioning, and primairly plays showcase and championship tournaments. We have 7 showcase tournaments scheduled for the 2011-2012 season, in addition to 5 to 7 other championship caliber tournaments.

If you are working to be "college-bound", and are looking for a program that will give you the necessary coaching and exposure, write for more information and a tryout package. Send an email to [email protected] or [email protected]

The Tarheel Fastpitch Stars organization was created to field teams of elite players throughout the state and region that are looking for professional coaching and high level competition. Many Stars players are pupils of The Fastpitch School [www.thefastpitchschool.com).

Our Goal? Simple — Help players extend their career beyond high school by preparing them to play at a high level and presenting them to university and college recruiters.

How? Showcase, Championship and Development Tournaments - Legendary Showcase, Va; Gold Diamond, TN; WFC Early Signing, SC; Fireworks, Denver to name a few. Minimum 12 tournaments each for 18U and 16U.

Are you looking for a Travel Team Organization where developing players through teaching and coaching, and getting them to college through softball, are as important as winning? The Tarheel Fastpitch Stars is that organization!
