It's gotta porta potty beside the built in cookstove. What doesn't show up good in the picture are the custom made wind chimes.

Oh...and CC..we already have a sign to put on the side " Goose's Gang"..and Mudcat, it would be perfect to take our new RV to the State Games this year...heck, might as well plan on a trip to Jupiter this fall...is their room for NC's plasma TV?

I heard that...50+ South Meck students attended the first day of Varsity and JV Baseball tryouts on Monday, 2/16. Unlike years past, students that had grade issues were notified ahead of time and were not allowed to attend the 2/16-17 try-outs which eliminated approximately 25 baseball prospects instead of waiting until after try-outs to check grades this year. Normally, 17 Varsity and 17 JV players are kept on each baseball roster but this is always subject to change.

Roster is now set for JVs over at South Meck but Coach Bagwell has extended the baseball try-outs for the Varsity team by 1 day ONLY to give 2 additional South Meck students a shot at making the Varsity team since they just completed their basketball season commitment with South Meck last night.

33% of the expected number at tryouts being academically ineligible is a huge percentage. Are you sure about those numbers?

I know...it is astonishing isn't it! But it is also true. Fortunately, most of the kids were freshmen....not Varsity.Jeez...think there could have been 75+ for tryouts

South Meck has most ALWAYS had 75+ show up for tryouts. Unfortunately this year, the freshman group was a little weak on the academic side!

Yes, you are right...but it is a good indicator of the schools with good feeder programs. You take a school like Waddell where Coach McMurray is fortunate to have 20 kids come out for his entire program.

Alexander Central had 27 come out for varsity and I think 26 come for JV.There are some quality players who will probably be cut. Tough decisions for coach Comer.
