The "thank you" is in covering their team. There are lots of cable systems that do no such thing for their customers. BUT, there are 48 other high schools (wonder if my count is right) in the footprint and these schools have cable-paying customers who deserve this "thank you" just as much (which seems to be lost on a particular county's residents). That's the only point I have ever tried to make. But I do not make any of these decisions. I am merely a simple conduit for others who are far more important than me. And I assumed you would know that the Catholic game would be covered. That was, I guess, my fault. Keep watching those TV crews do their thing!

Now I think you're getting there Hoops. It's a mutually beneficial relationship for customers and the cable provider. Sure other cable ops don't provide this service, but customers don't have to pay a cable bill and/or subscribe to cable, either. The cable ops shouldn't view this as simply a "public service" but as a selling point to local residents that HS Football is something they can't get from the "sat's."

I assume this is a deft reference to Cabarrus County. Like I said before, if local coverage of HS Football was not supported there for many seasons, then we're never having this conversation (and aspiring camera operators, directors, producers and play-by-play & color commentators never get a start...) See? You're more than "a simple conduit."

Sorry that I come across as salty. I am a cynic by nature. I think at my core, I see eye to eye with most reasonable people, which is in great supply here.

By the way... you want Shelby/Forest Hills. That's what you get. Thanks to the masses (both of you, and don't let anyone else call you "masses." I use it as a term of endearment.) for speaking up and shouting out.
